IoT Device Certification Programme
The programme aims to ensure that IoT devices comply with requirements concerning security, privacy, and resilience to digital threats, and to enable preparation for meeting the requirements arising from the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA).

Who is it for?

The programme is open to manufacturers, distributors, and importers of IoT devices who wish to confirm their products’ compliance with cybersecurity requirements in a swift, transparent manner based on recognised standards.

What does the certification cover?

Certification applies to hardware, software, device documentation, and procedures. The assessment includes:

  • Completeness of technical documentation,
  • Security functionalities,
  • Compliance with essential cybersecurity requirements,
  • Vulnerability management procedures,
  • Clarity and quality of information provided to end users.

How does the certification process work?
  1. Application submission – including documentation and a sample device.
  2. Assessment of documentation and device – carried out by NASK-PIB experts.
  3. Decision and certificate issuance – valid for the duration of device support or up to 5 years.
  4. Certificate maintenance – monitoring compliance and security updates.

Duration of the process

The certification process takes no more than 2 months from the submission of a complete application.
