The Ministry of Digital Affairs is introducing new regulations that mark a brand-new chapter in building a digitally secure state. The Act on the National Cybersecurity Certification System establishes stable legal frameworks, bringing Poland into the European forefront in data protection and resilience against cyber threats.
The new system introduces voluntary certificates for ICT products and services, automatically recognized across the entire European Union. This presents a major opportunity for Polish companies, giving them easier access to European markets and the ability to compete on equal terms.
Certification, based on the EU Cybersecurity Act, will confirm that a given solution meets the highest protection standards. Moreover, certificates will also cover the competencies of IT specialists, becoming a strong asset for career development in the digital sector.
The system delivers benefits not only to businesses but also to users and public institutions. Stronger cyber resilience, secure innovation, and building trust in modern technologies are the foundation on which Poland aims to develop its digital future.
Different levels of assurance – from basic to high – have also been introduced, clearly indicating how rigorously a product, service, or qualification has been verified. The entire process will be overseen by the Minister of Digital Affairs, who will act as the supervisory authority for the certification system in Poland.
