NASK Joins European Initiative to Strengthen SME Cyber Resilience – the SECURE Project Begins

Published on 2025-10-27

NASK with the Standardisation and Certification Centre takes part in an international consortium implementing the SECURE project, aimed at supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in ensuring the cybersecurity of their digital products and complying with the requirements of the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA). The project is led by the Italian National Cybersecurity Agency – Agenzia per la Cybersicurezza Nazionale (ACN) 🇮🇹.

The SECURE project will help European SMEs meet CRA requirements, enhance cybersecurity across supply chains, and adopt best practices for digital protection. The initiative will also establish a cascade funding scheme, offering financial support for SMEs across the European Union to improve their technical, procedural, and training capabilities in cybersecurity.

  • The first funding call is planned for December 2025
  • An open-access online repository will also be created, serving as a central resource for CRA compliance – providing guidelines, support tools, training materials, and open-source code implementations.

The international consortium includes:
🇮🇹 ACN (Italy – Project Leader)
🇪🇸 INCIBE – Instituto Nacional de Ciberseguridad (Spain)
🇧🇪 Centre pour la Cybersécurité Belgique (Belgium)
🇱🇺 Luxembourg House of Cybersecurity (Luxembourg)
🇷🇴 Autoritatea pentru Digitalizarea României (Romania)
🇦🇹 Plattform Industrie 4.0 Österreich (Austria)
🇮🇹 Associazione Cyber 4.0 (Italy)
