As part of the 6th Polish Mining Congress, a thematic session dedicated to cybersecurity in the raw materials sector was held. One of the key points of the program was a lecture delivered by Director Paweł Kostkiewicz (NASK) entitled “Security-by-design – ICT system security in regulations, standards, and practice.”

The presentation emphasized the importance of the security-by-design approach as a foundation for creating and implementing modern ICT systems in the raw materials industry. It highlighted the need to consider security at every stage of system development – from concept, through implementation, to operation – in line with applicable regulations, standards, and best practices.

The session provided an opportunity to exchange experiences and present solutions that can significantly improve the protection of critical infrastructure in mining and the raw materials sector.
