Certyfikacja
Common Criteria
PL EUDI Wallet Certification
The NASK-PIB Certification Body carries out the certification of solutions covered by the PL EUDI Wallet Certification System for the European Digital Identity Wallet (EUDI Wallet). The system owner is the Polish Minister of Digital Affairs.
The NASK-PIB Certification Body has been involved in cybersecurity certification for many years. It is also prepared to carry out certification processes in accordance with the requirements of the national certification system. Bodies conducting certification under the PL EUDI Wallet Certification System are subject to accreditation and surveillance by the Polish Centre for Accreditation. NASK-PIB is currently undertaking activities related to obtaining such accreditation.
We invite organisations interested in certification to contact us.

European Digital Identity Wallet
The European Digital Identity Wallet is an electronic identification means. It enables the secure storage, management and validation of person identification data and electronic attestation of attributes.
The entire wallet solution is subject to certification, including:
- the application on the user’s device;
- components protecting cryptographic keys;
- and the services and processes of the wallet provider and the PID provider.
The European Digital Identity Wallet will be one of the key elements of the digital trust infrastructure in the European Union; therefore, its certification requires independent verification of both the technical security of the solution and the organisational processes related to its operation.
PL EUDI Wallet Certification System
The system sets out the assessment methodology and requirements that the Polish implementation of the European Digital Identity Wallet must meet in order to be successfully verified under the national certification system.
The system is organised into three interlinked certification schemes:
- The Functional Certification Scheme (GP-01), covering the assessment of the functionality of the EUDI Wallet solution and the compliance of its operation with the requirements specified for European digital identity wallets;
- the Cybersecurity Certification Scheme (GP-02), covering the assessment of the security of the EUDI Wallet’s technical components, using, amongst other things, the European cybersecurity certification scheme (EUCC), as well as assessments based on standards and methodologies specific to EUDI Wallet solutions;
- The eID Certification Scheme (GP-03), concerning the assessment of services, organisational processes and the electronic identification scheme within which the EUDI Wallet will be provided. It includes, amongst other things, organisational, technical and cybersecurity audits of the wallet provider and the identification data provider (PID).
The GP-01, GP-02 and GP-03 schemes form an integrated assessment framework, ultimately leading to the issuance of a Top-Level Certificate for the Wallet provider. This certificate confirms that the entire solution complies with the requirements of the national certification system. It can only be issued once all certificates forming the basis for the Top-Level Certificate have been obtained – including EUCC certificates for the relevant components of the EUDI Wallet – and following successful verification of the complete documentation by the certification body.

Who is the certification intended for?
The certification is aimed at organisations that develop, supply or maintain solutions falling within the scope of the PL EUDI Wallet Certification System.
Any organisation whose solutions fall within the scope of the Certification System can apply. Each application is assessed on a case-by-case basis with regard to the scope of certification and the requirements for documentation.
If you are unsure whether your solution qualifies for certification, please do not hesitate to contact us.
How do you start the process?
Entities interested in certification are invited to contact the NASK Certification Body to obtain detailed information regarding the certification process.
Documents relating to the PL EUDI Wallet Certification System are available on request. To receive these documents, please contact: standard@nask.pl. Further information about the System itself is available on the Ministry’s website.
