Cybersecurity in the Spotlight of Europe – NASK-PIB at the 2025 Cyber 4.0 Forum in Rome

Published on 2025-06-06

On June 4–5, Rome became the European capital of cybersecurity as it hosted the prestigious 2025 Cyber 4.0 Forum. The event brought together key experts, industry leaders, and institutions from across Europe for two days of discussions on the future of digital security.

Among the speakers was Paweł Kostkiewicz, Director of Certification at NASK-PIB, who participated in a panel focused on enhancing the cyber resilience of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the European Union. A central topic of the discussion was the SECURE project, of which NASK-PIB is a proud partner.

SECURE, coordinated by the Italian National Cybersecurity Agency (ACN) in cooperation with Cyber 4.0, aims to prepare European SMEs for the requirements of the new Cyber Resilience Act, which will come fully into force in 2027. The project envisions the creation of an innovative financial support platform for third parties (FSTP), providing companies with access to funding and expert knowledge — as part of one of the largest cybersecurity-related budgets in the EU’s history.

The 2025 Cyber 4.0 Forum was not only a venue for exchanging experiences but also a significant step toward building a stronger, digitally resilient Europe.
